Get Up, Get Off

Hello Readers (if any :) ),

Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up and realize that
most of the good things have slipped by while you were stuck in a rut
and didnt realize the importance of what was passing by each day. Well
I have had the same thing done to me and all due to my own fault :(.

It is time to prioritize and be a man! (Russell Peters style :) ).
On the bright side, I am getting slightly better at prioritizing and
getting things done. As my MBA year draws to a close (almost), the usual
anxiousness of finding a good job is creeping in :(. I have lots of debts
to pay off when I graduate and it is imperative for me that I get a
good high paying job (preferably abroad) to pay out my debts.Fingers crossed,
I will be applying to lots of places and hopefully will land a job abroad.

For now, my Corporate Finance exam takes my full attention.
Will update this blog on the 13th February.

Wish Everyone a very Happy New Year 2010 :D.

I know I am a month too late in wishing but knowing me and my time
management skills I hope that you (if anyone reads this that is) will
not complain.

I wish to become more proactive and finally move my lazy ass to get to
clean my room and stuff like that. I clearly have no big ambitions set for
myself in this new year except for getting a high paying job in Belgium
(or anywhere in Europe so that I can payoff my debts and live life Kingsize,
the way I have always wanted to live).

I clearly want to get a hold of my life as I guess I have allowed it to
drift along rather too easily. Hoping to radically cut down the time spent
on Social networking sites and rather do something useful like apply for jobs
or learn Dutch! :).

Why are people so self obsessed and why
do they have to post every other detail
of their lives like "back in town" or
"taking a poo" or whatever.

I dont give a damn if you are taking a
poo as long as I dont have to clean it.
Fkin get a life, narcissists. These
"social" sites like facebook and orkut
are just spreading this narcissism, a trait

Time Management and the MBA:

Why I think time management should be one of the first courses to be taught in any B-School.

Why is it that? Because some students might be lousy at their time management just like I am! That is why I think time management should be one of the first lessons that
should be taught at a B-School.

Maybe its just me cos I cant seem to get anything done whereas people with families seem to be ever ready and up to date. Hopefully with my new found knowledge of time management I'll be able to do my stuff and update this blog regularly more often.

So here I am, returning to my old haunt after a good 2 years is it?
And In a completely new avatar (as a student! :D).
I always wanted to do an MBA and here I'll state the real reason
and not that suave polished diplomatical BS that I am supposed to
spout in those MBA Interviews. So I wanted to do an MBA cos my
job sucked hard! and cos I wanted to grow and wanted to see the world
and interact with people from all around the world, people who are much
smarter than me and who would inspire me to do much better than what I
currently do.

I am glad that I chose Vlerick (Of course I'll be even more glad that I
chose vlerick if my MBA gets me a job which gets me shitloads of money)
rather than another Indian B-School because there I would be stuck with
another 600 wannabes like me in the same batch. 90% of them IT Engineers
bored of their jobs and looking to "cash" in on their MBA investment and
to recoup it ASAP (Hell, I am looking to do the same but ain't I different? :D ).

Come to think of it, the academic year so far has been great (It has only been
like 4 weeks but I am a good cook already!). Jokes apart, I feel that I have
changed already from what I was earlier (apart from being as lazy as before).
I can cook up a good meal, go grocery shopping by myself, get things done
and stuff,interact with people from different nationalities etc. For others
these might be small things but for me each of the tasks mentioned above
is like a big step towards being independent (I have almost NEVER done
any grocery shopping in India, being the spoilt single child that I am :) ).

I need to get rid of the videogames bug though and need to work on my
Time Management (Done with only 1 chapter of accounting till now whereas
people have completed the whole book :-O).

In conclusion, I must say that atleast till now I think I have made the
right choice as far as the B School selection goes. I hope to develop the
skills required to get my dream job through the duration of the course.

Time for some Indian food I guess, it is 11PM Already :O.

Whew!! After 1 and half years am back!!
And boy does it feel good to be back home!!!

Lot of things have changed since I last posted and I guess ave grown up during this phase ;). I guess this is enough for an "I am back"" post.

My 'EARly' Fix

Well, it had to happen one day and it has happned now........
After listening to loud music on my headphones for around 10 months now, my hearing power has reduced...yes..I consulted the Doc today and he gave me some costly medicines and told me to be careful lest I start becoming deaf.

I'll just have the medicines and then lets see what happens on saturday when I consult him again....hopefully I should get some of my hearing back...But I am broke as of now...how foolish of me to hurt my own ears...sick....

He told me that all the mucus had developed near the middle-ear and that was causing the blockage...lets see what happens....

No music for me for 5-6 months atleast...hopefully this isnt as bad as it seems....
